CoVid Policy

Revised CoVid Policy – September 2023

After consulting the Office of Early Childhood Guidelines as well as the current recommendations of the CDC, the following CoVid policy will be in affect at Little Blessings:

1.     If a student or staff member tests positive for CoVid, they will notify the administration of Little Blessings immediately and begin a time of quarantine. Positive CoVid cases should quarantine for a minimum of 5 days counting the first day of symptoms as day 0. After 5 days, if the person is showing improvement in their symptoms and has been fever free without medication for 24 hours, they may return to Little Blessings.  If their symptoms have not improved, they will continue to quarantine until they have improved and are fever free for 24 hours.

2.    If a student or staff member has been closely exposed to someone with a positive CoVid diagnosis, they will monitor for symptoms (fever, cough, runny/stuffy nose). If symptoms occur, they will stay home from Little Blessings and test for CoVid after 5 days from original exposure.
If the CoVid test is positive, they will follow the procedure above for a person with a positive CoVid test. (Starting the next 5-day count from the day they started showing symptoms or tested positive)
If the test is negative, the person may attend Little Blessings, monitoring for symptoms and testing again at the 10-day mark from exposure.

Students and staff with symptoms of a runny/stuffy nose, cough or fever will be sent home to be monitored.

Little Blessings reserves the right to revise this CoVid policy without notifications.
